Horrible experience the hotel should not have conducted renovation project while guest is staying. Especially I was not told about this before booking. During my stay my room was right below the construction site the drill sound was so loud and vibrating either in the morning or afternoon and I could not sleep or having a nap properly. I couldn’t work because of the noise and I am extremely disappointed when I complained the reception made up an exercise saying they only decided to renovate the hotel after I checked in. What a shame.

We heard from a friend after our stay that the hotel has been refurbished over the last few years and guests can really feel that it is freshly revamped. The toiletries are lovely - would have bought some of these if they had been stocked in the merchandise area. Overall really very nice hotel in a lovely location with lots of local colour.
